December 29, 2010 in the capital of the UAE - Abu Dhabi, in the banquet hall of the Raha Beach Hotel for the first time, a children's New Year's holiday was held, the same as the morning performances beloved from childhood, the main of which was always considered the “New Year Kremlin Christmas Tree” where all the children of our vast country dreamed of getting. The Emirate’s New Year Tree was organized by the Russian Embassy in the UAE with the support of compatriots living in the country. The celebration brought together more than 500 children and their parents, including the families of the embassies of Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia and Belarus. From the very beginning of the holiday, all adults and children plunged into the atmosphere of cordiality and fun. Added color and a special exhibition of children's New Year's drawings, prepared for the event by the students of the "Art Class" Elena Glazyrina.
Further, the Harlequin Puppet Theater showed guests a theatrical New Year's performance. Thanks to the charm and skill of the actors, young viewers were able to plunge into a real fairy tale with amazing transformations, magical heroes and, of course, gifts from Santa Claus. At the end of the tale, all the little guests had a festive table with sweets and traditional treats. And, of course, every child could tell a New Year poem to Santa Claus.
The holiday turned out to be joyful and bright, and was really liked by Russian compatriots in the UAE, who expressed a desire to spend a Christmas tree every year. The Russian Embassy in the UAE thanked everyone who helped with the organization of the New Year's children's holiday, namely: the Harlequin Puppet Theater and personally the director and director of the theater A. Makhkamov; Abu Dhabi activist A. Astanina for helping distribute tickets for the Christmas tree in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain; the manager of the Raha Beach Hotel A.
