Picturesque mountains approaching the old city, mild climate, rich nature and pristine beaches, striking in their cleanliness, are far from all the sights of the northern emirate itself. Actually nicknamed in antiquity, "The top of the tent" of Ras Al-Khaimah is fraught with many miracles. Here once stood the ancient port city of Julfar, which was the center of trade between the Far East and Europe and, since the year 76 of Islamic history (695 CE), has often been mentioned in Arab sources. According to legend, there was a tent of the Queen of Sheba, who stopped to rest while traveling to Jerusalem to King Solomon.
Do not be surprised at a possible meeting with local sheikhs or members of various automobile clubs. The "parade" of 12 respectable Hummers is far from the most vivid impressions that the hotel leaves. Spacious two-bedroom villa with high ceilings and arches laid out in red brick, designed in a rich oriental style with a Nubian accent in design. Beautiful sculpting on the walls with intricate drawings, antique floor lamps, oriental hospitality (a welcome note from the hotel manager awaits at the bar under a bowl with fresh exotic fruits) only adds to the pleasant experience.
The villa is surrounded by gardens and a cobbled street and stands on a low hill with stunning sea views. Early in the morning on the shore there is a sunrise yoga, the classes of which give strength and energy for the whole day. Swimming in the pool on the villa’s terrace is appetizing, and the road to the restaurant with the name “Cinnamon” is imbued with the spicy smell of grilled seafood. Here, on the spacious outdoor terrace, there is a buffet with international dishes, which, however, have an oriental flavor.
The waiters will not leave anyone unattended and gallantly offer sushi, salads, cheeses, sausages, several side dishes, fruits and pastries - in general, all that the soul desires. And quiet music and an unobtrusive atmosphere make you feel comfortable talking or solitude for two by the moonlit sea ... After dinner, you can take a little walk to the lobby, next to which is the Breeze Bar - an ideal place with pleasant jazz music for coffee or cocktails among friends . Fans of a faster pace and parties on the dance floor should look at the Breakers - a beach bar with pristine sand near the shimmering water, strong drinks (by the way, Ras Al Khaimah even completely lacks dry law in the resort) and trendy DJ sets. In the morning, here you can bask in the sun, sip tropical juices and enjoy delicious snacks.
Modern wicker furniture, canvas, umbrellas and large pillows create the feeling of an excellent “refuge." In the early morning, birds are singing in the garden, and the view from the terrace to the oncoming waves is literally breathtaking. The pleasant sensations do not leave on the way for breakfast either - there are flower alleys everywhere, and the sea breeze and lush greenery inspire even more.
In the restaurant you can meet a good Russian-speaking woman chef from the Philippines, who with a smile will announce a long list of all kinds of omelettes and scrambled eggs. For lovers of breakfast in bed there is a round-the-clock service. But still, before you go looking for adventure in Ras Al Khaimah, you should come for a morning meal for live communication. Who knows, maybe they will tell you how to get to the pearl farm, the National Museum, whose building was once the home of the ruling family, or the romantic hot spring Hutt ... Having settled down comfortably on the porch of the lobby, make a route to explore the emirate - and go, towards adventures.
