Etihad changes baggage allowance

ETIHAD AIRWAYS AIRLINE, THE NATIONAL AIRLINE CARRIER OF ARAB EMIRATES, INTRODUCES NEW LUGGAGE RULES DEPENDING ON THE ROUTE, FARE AND LEVEL OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE PROGRAM OF AVIAN GAD.

On some routes that offer hot deals in economy class and discount tickets, the maximum baggage allowance was reduced from 30kg to 23kg, while on other routes, baggage allowance for economy class was increased from one place by 30 kg to two places of 23 kg each. For the first class and business class, the baggage allowance has also been changed - from one piece of 40 kg or 50 kg to two pieces of luggage of 32 kg each. For flights to the USA or Canada and back, the baggage allowance remains the same - two pieces weighing up to 23 kg each.

In addition, as part of a change in airline policy, the cost of excess baggage in many areas will be reduced. So, the cost of buying an extra piece of baggage weighing up to 23kg will be reduced by 90% in some areas. The Etihad Guest program participants, depending on the level of membership in the program, will receive the right to carry additional baggage on the routes between the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the countries of the Indian subcontinent.
