Metropolitan Park Abu Dhabi Corniche Park received the international green award.
Dubai, UAE. Abu Dhabi Corniche Park (Abu Dhabi) has been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Public Award, which is presented by the Green Flag international organization.
The park was selected among the three best in the world among hundreds of applicants. Belgian (Groendomein Rivierenhof) and Irish (Tim Smythe Park) parks also received awards. More than a thousand experts from 12 countries of the world voted who evaluated the park services, their amenities, atmosphere, as well as compliance with sanitary standards and safety rules.
The park in Abu Dhabi was recognized as modern, well-groomed, having enough recreational areas and walking paths, as well as safe intersections and underpasses - in general, pleasant, spacious and convenient for pedestrians. Earlier, the Green Flag received such metropolitan parks as Dalma Park, Umm Al Emarat Park, Khalifa Park and Al Rahba Park.
