The first Dubai-branded Radisson Red hotel to open later this year.
The Radisson Hotel Group, which previously announced the launch of the region’s first Radisson Red hotel in the Silicon Oasis area of Dubai, has announced a postponement of its opening date. The hotel was supposed to start in the third quarter of 2018, but will open in mid-2019.
The hotel will be part of the Dubai Silicon Oasis smart city project.
Ramsey Rankossi, vice president of business development for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, said that Radisson Red will complement the UAE hotel market, which is rich in luxury hotel offerings, but in which there is growing demand for mid-range and high-end segments.
Initially, the Radisson Red brand appeared in Europe, but as the network developed, hotels began to open in cities in South Africa, Brazil, Scotland and the United States. Now new hotel projects in addition to Dubai are being implemented in Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur and Mohali.
