UAE and Indian Ministers discuss cooperation

The UAE Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister of India met to discuss prospects for further cooperation between the countries.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed cooperation in trade, investment and defense.

Sheikh Al Nahyan, who is in India on a visit, conveyed greetings from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The Prime Minister of India gladly accepted warm wishes.

The Minister noted the UAE's growing interest in investing in the Indian economy, namely in sectors such as energy, housing, food processing and infrastructure. The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the decision of ADNOC to invest in a complex of oil refineries in India and thanked for signing the memorandum of understanding.

The UAE Minister also noted the contribution of the Indian people to the economy and welfare of the Arab state.
