Two new bridges opened in Dubai

Dubai authorities launched two new automobile bridges.

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Saturday, February 3, the opening of two key bridges at the intersection of Sheikh Rashid-Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed as part of a modernization project.

The first bridge at Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street offers two lanes in each direction. The second is a one-lane bridge on Za'abeel Street in the direction of Sheikh Rashid Street.

According to RTA, the new bridges will facilitate traffic to the Al Karama and World Trade Center lanes in the direction of Sheikh Zayed Road.

In the second quarter of the year, the Sheikh Rashid Street tunnel with four lanes in each direction will also be opened. He will link Al Garhoud and Mina Rashid.

"The project is part of the RTA master plan for improving roads, bridges, intersections and underpasses, taking into account the growing volume of traffic," said Mattar Al-Thayer, RTA CEO and Chairman.
