UAE leaders and French President open Louvre Abu Dhabi

French President Emmanuel Macron attended the opening of the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi along with other high-ranking guests.

Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE, and French President Emmanuelle Macron opened Dhabi, the first museum bearing the name of the Louvre outside France.

The ceremony was attended by the King of Morocco, Magomed VI, the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the President of Afghanistan, Mohammed Ashraf Ghani, and many guests from several fraternal and friendly countries.

The famous architectural masterpiece, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, is the first of its kind in the Arab world. It is represented by a unique, rare collection that covers the entire history of mankind.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum delivered a speech that began with the words: "We welcome you and the whole world to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a unique and iconic masterpiece that Abu Dhabi gives as a heritage to humanity."
