The Roads and Transport Committee (RTA), as part of a program to improve the public transport system in Dubai, as well as to provide passengers with more comfortable conditions, has begun installing air-conditioned indoor bus stop complexes, where you can safely wait for the shuttle bus to arrive in the hot summer months. The project is called Bus Queue Shelter, and will include more than 1000 stop complexes, with a total cost of 750 million dirhams. The project is designed for 10 years and will include the design, construction, management and transfer of stops (if necessary).
In addition to air conditioners and comfortable seats for passengers in urban vehicles, glass ATM shells and ATMs with soft drinks and snacks will also be installed. RTA management hopes that a new initiative by the Government of Dubai will encourage citizens to use their own cars less and will draw their attention to the convenience of public transport, which will ultimately lead to a decrease in the number of traffic jams on the city streets
