Al Ain Zoo will be open at night

For the first time in the 40-year history of the Al Ain Zoo, everyone will be able to visit it at night.

The leadership of the Al Ain Zoo, the oldest and richest in the UAE, decided to start a trial night shift for the duration of the month of Ramadan, so that those who wish could usefully spend time with family and friends. Until the end of September, the zoo will be open from 21.00 to 02.00. Such a schedule will allow visitors not only to see how animals behave at night, but also to see how zoo employees look after them. For example, it will be possible to observe how penguins are fed, or the cells of tigers and other predators are cleaned. Of particular interest should be the observation of the behavior of birds of prey after dark.

The zoo's restaurant will serve late dinner and early breakfast to make fasting guests comfortable. “Ramadan is a special time. Evening dinners with family and friends are often delayed deep after midnight. Therefore, we decided to give everyone an opportunity to spend this time with benefit,” said the representative of the zoo, commenting on the innovation.
