Sandstorm obstacle race for the first time in the UAE

The sandstorm obstacle race will be held in the Emirate desert for the first time.

Dubai, UAE. The Sandstorm obstacle race will be held for the first time in the Emirate desert, on the territory of the Al Marmum Nature Reserve, near Al Kudra Lakes, on January 27. Competitions are intended for all residents of the United Arab Emirates of all levels of physical fitness.

The initiative belongs to the large Dubai conglomerate Dubai Holding and will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Muhammad Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai. At distances of 5 and 10 km, participants will have to overcome more than 30 obstacles, including stones, sand, water, dirt and much more - everything that is hidden from the eyes of the average man in the center of the Emirate desert.

In addition, an entertainment town will be built specifically for the race, which will offer various activities for competitors and their fans. The initiative aims to support a healthy lifestyle in the UAE. Registration is already open in four categories: men, women, corporate teams, and UAE citizens. For winners, large prizes are provided.
