The sixth largest private yacht in the world built and launched in Abu Dhabi

The shipbuilding company ADMShipyards, based in Abu Dhabi, has announced the launch of its first superyacht called Yas. The length of the Yas, a custom-made yacht, is 141 meters, making it the sixth longest in the world. The interior and exterior were done by the Parisian design studio Pierrejean Design Studio.

The yacht can accommodate up to 60 guests at a time. It is equipped with the latest diesel engine and adjustable pitch propellers, which will allow you to reach a maximum speed of 26 nautical miles per hour, an average speed of 20 miles per hour, transoceanic range and move in an environmentally friendly mode.

“The team of our international experts, subcontractors and suppliers was able to overcome one of the most difficult challenges,” said Johan Valentin, member of the Privinvest board and industrial manager responsible for the project, at the launch ceremony. “Successful completion of this project is a major milestone in modern shipbuilding, and a superyacht is a real work of art, which will be very difficult to transcend. " The driving performance of the Yas yacht is determined by its fast, easily controllable and movable hull, the prototype of which was one of the UAE naval frigates, designed and built in 1978 by Koninklijke Schelde Groep BV.

The new superyacht is built in accordance with the standards of the Norwegian classification society Det Norske Veritas (DNV). She is the first private yacht ever built that fully meets the requirements of the new UAE Code of Practice for large private ships.
